David Lindrum

Founder and CEO

For 15 years, David has lived and worked at the intersection of transformational learning and web technology. Working with major publishers including Pearson, Thomson, and McGraw, he launched both MetaText and Shadowbox before founding Soomo. David remains involved primarily in instructional design, utilizing web technology to meet specific instructional challenges.

Kathi Prancan

As the former Vice President of Editorial for Houghton Mifflin College and a veteran biology instructor, Kathi combines traditional publishing expertise with a teacher’s perspective, projecting a broad but well-grounded vision of the astounding potential of digital publishing.

Brian Murphy

As a former National Sales Manager at Houghton Mifflin, creator of the technology sales team at Addison Wesley/Pearson Education, and a leader in the sales effort behind the MyLab series, Brian brings unique experience to Soomo. Passionate about teaching and learning, Brian integrates the best of traditional sales with new information tools and a stellar inside support team to move Soomo forward.

Tom Meeks

VP of Customer Satisfaction

After many years of running IT for a top-10 accounting firm’s partners and clients, Tom finds tech support for students and instructors a delightful change of pace. His job is to vigilantly protect and serve our systems and content, as well as your data, and he does it impeccably.

Rebecca Shelley

Developmental Editor

Rebecca works directly with instructors on extensive customization. If you have an idea for a new collection and a sense of where you're headed, Rebecca will help bring your vision to life and work to ensure your comfort with our web-based teaching tools. As a liaison for our larger team, she’ll also take care of graphic design and intellectual property licensing.

David is the man behind the curtain. He writes the code that makes everything work, and oversees technical development. He’s always working to incorporate instructor suggestions and requests seamlessly into our set of teaching tools.

Zara Ricks

Editorial Assistant

Zara has a passion for international relations, comparative government and the politics of development, as well as a remarkable sense of the approaches that work for today’s students. She helps us discover new sites, documentaries, and other media that will engage contemporary minds while making substantive issues accessible and understandable.

Mary Jane Lindrum

Producer

A passionate creator of documentary films that change lives, MJ focuses on developing content that challenges students with the complexity of reality and reminds them of their responsibility to respond. Since we are a small company with a lot of multiple-hat-wearers, MJ also handles accounting and human resources.

Tim Alden Grant

Producer

Tim is our filmmaker. When it's time to shoot an interview, produce a documentary or just capture the word on the street, we turn to Tim. If your class needs it, Tim will perfect it.
